Julianna Richey is an artist who has been working as a painter, illustrator and performer in Birmingham, AL
since 2010. She studied at the Vienna Academy of Visionary Art and has taught art workshops at Space One
Eleven, REV Bham Initiatives and Moss Rock Festival. In 2020, Julianna was a Market Manager for the Unity
Market on Highland Avenue, a farmer’s market and gathering space for talks by organizers, artists, farmers
and more. Julianna has studied sustainable farming practices, assisted in bio-intensive gardening, and worked
with a native plant + pollinator specialist landscaper in Birmingham. She has contributed to many Sweet Wreath
projects including album cover artwork, newsletter writing, co-organizing the Speaks! Festival, and illustrating the
